Modernization of ice water pumping station – production maintenance installation, food industry.

The pumping station was modernized taking into account the current demand for cooling water. Thanks to the complete energy analysis of the pumping system, more efficient and energy-saving equipment was designed. These activities ensured decreased energy consumption, and consequently real financial savings for the customer.

The economic analysis of pumping systems is based, among others, on measurements of pump parameters (pressure differences, flow, energy consumption, and temperature differences). On this basis we create a profile of the pumping system load.

The choice of new equipment allows to increase the costs of operation as well as the costs of energy consumption.

Therefore, the modernization was more than just a replacement of worn pumps. This modernization will affect the environment by means of reduction of CO2 emission. For the needs of the customer the pumping system was designed with shutting off, regulating and control-measurement fittings.

The detailed scope of the project below:

  • ENERGY ANALYSIS OF THE EXISTING SYSTEM
  • SELECTION OF PUMPS ACCORDING TO THE SYSTEM ANALYSIS
  • DESIGN WORKS IN MECHANICAL AND HYDRAULIC SECTORS
  • DISMANTLING PUMPS, FITTINGS AND COLLECTORS
  • REPLACEMENT OF PUMPS, FITTINGS AND COLLECTORS
  • THERMAL INSULATION EXECUTION
  • COMMISSIONING
  • PREPARATION OF THE AS-MADE DOCUMENTATION Works executed during the plant technological downtime (1,5 weeks)
