Reverse engineering is a technique which applies a 3D model obtained as a result of scanning the given element to its analysis.

Scanning takes place by means of specialist equipment allowing detection of even the slightest faults of the original element. This specialist equipment indispensable in reverse engineering is naturally a 3D scanner.

Measurement data:

Registering measurement data needed for the documentation may be manual, using traditional tools or measurement devices. This method is, however, much less precise and it may be time-consuming and inefficient with complex geometrical shapes.
