Planned overhaul of a single-stage end suction spiral body Sterling pump / SIHI type CBTA 200 315 AR NQ4 4B 2AD – installation of pumping barley malt.
The overhaul was executed according to the planned technological downtime.
DESCRIPTION OF THE SCOPE OF PERFORMED MODERNIZING WORK
After dismantling the pump from the workstation, the following operations were performed:
- pump cleaning,
- technical verification of the rotor,
- technical verification of the shaft,
- technical verification of sealing,
- oiled elements cleaning,
- sandblasting of old painting coating,
- replacement of mechanical sealing,
- replacement of sealing,
- replacement of O-rings,
- shaft sleeve replacement,
- replacement of locknuts.
- replacement of needle and angular bearings,
- replacement of the retaining ring,
- sealing rings replacement,
- replacement of radial ring,
- pump painting.
Performed quality control activities:
- test on the test bench,
- drawing the pump operation characteristics,
- motor electric measurement,
- clutch adjustment,
- sealing adjustment,
- checking the shaft rotation slack,
- measurement of bearings vibrations,
- visual cable inspection,
- Inspection of painting coating,
- assembly at the customer’s premises.
The pump repaired and commissioned for further operation. After completing the overhaul and assembly of the pump, laser alignment of the pump shaft was executed (using OPTALIGN smart system of Prüftechnik).
